Flight safety is everybody’s business
NIC Insurance Company awarded the Volga-Dnepr Group personnel for their contribution to flight safety and aviation accident prevention in 2015. The awarding ceremony with participation of the VD Group president Alexey Isaykin and the Insurance Company general director Alexander Rodionov took place in Moscow on February 19.
The annual award initiated by NIC Insurance Company in 2013 is meant to form pro-active life attitude to flight safety, accident prevention to reduce the probability of loss occurrence.
Meet 2015 award winners:
The I-st degree monetary award and the pennon go to Dmitry Danilov, aircraft and power plant engineer, for aviation accident prevention during aircraft maintenance, for detection of dangerous defects and anticipation of highly probable risks.
The II-d degree monetary award and the pennon go to
– Peter Kharitonenko, the An-124-100 senior flight engineer-instructor, VDA, for active participation in flight personnel work on error correction and troubleshooting, for An-124-100 flight operation experience summary, for development of “The list of challenging scenarios” Supplement to the aircraft Operations manual, for the quality impact on flight safety issues.
– Nikolay Baranov, the IL-76TD-90VD senior navigator-instructor, VDA, for contribution to flight safety and aviation accident prevention while mastering the new for civil aviation aircraft type IL-76TD-90DV, for participation in aircraft preparation for flights in Antarctic, for theoretical and practical IL-76 type training of the State Research Institute navigators, for active participation in flight personnel work on error correction and troubleshooting.
– Sergey Seleznev, avionics maintenance engineer, VDTM, for contribution to aviation accident prevention during aircraft B-747-400 maintenance, for detection of dangerous defects and anticipation of highly probable risks.
The Insurance company general director Alexander Rodionov emphasized that flight safety wa the VD Group number one priority. He also noticed that the annual award was meant not only for VD flight and maintenance personnel, but also for all the company personnel highly contributing to flight safety and accident prevention.
– Labour is the process of benefiting the customers and the society, – said Alexey Isaykin, President Volga-Dnepr Group. – And the benefit is in detecting, preventing problems and threats for the customers, the company, its employees. Anyway, we all work for this nomination.
