Father Frost’s Assistants: Aircraft Loading
New Year’s Eve is a time when children and adults believe in and expect magic and miracles. So, the participants of the Corporate University’s unique project – “Entertaining Management for Kids and Adults” – decided not only to believe in miracles but perform them.
On November, 25th, on Moscow Cargo terminal, Boeing 747-8F of AirBridgeCargo Airlines’ fleet was waiting to be loaded with valuable cargo. Kids and their parents prepared presents to be sent to an orphan asylum. Father Frost’s assistants did a great job: the kids were absorbed in the process and got the cargo ready for departure, carried out marking, ensured the cargo was secure, weighed it and developed a loading plan.

Before you start with such an important task, you need to learn more about rules of cargo transportation. Natalia Ivanovskaya, Head of Transportation Organization Dept., ABC told the participants about aircraft capacity and balance, what weight and balance sheet are and how cargo is loaded.

The main thing in any operations process is safety. All the kids got their workwear and completed a training session.

Cargo needs to be checked according to security requirements. To accomplish that the children used special equipment – the introscope.

The automated system of the terminal helped the participants weigh the cargo and deliver it to pallets.
The children were happy not only because they had worked in a cheerful and friendly atmosphere, but also because they had put their heart into the process, which the gift receivers would certainly feel and appreciate.
