Fostering VDTM personnel pool!
A formal opening session of VDTM operational management reserve School was conducted in Moscow on June 23!
The School curriculum comprises 3 modules: training on management functions (managerial minimum), training on leadership skills, and training on personal efficiency as a manager.
The keynote speech was made by Eugenie Kochetov, VDTM general director. He wished the training participants good luck in applying gained knowledge into practice.
The first training session for 20 reservists was conducted by Eugenie Patrikhalka, head of development department, VDM. It was devoted to cooperation and organizational effectiveness.
Another training session was conducted on July 28 by Igor Gribkov, VDTM process engineer and a Corporate University trainer. This time the focus was made on “Lean Organization”. The participants showed keen interest in LEAN technologies and understanding of their value.

Natalia Ignatova, leading HR manager, VDTM:
– The training was conducted in a straightforward and illustrative way. Our teacher Eugenie managed to bring everything into focus. Now it’s time to put this knowledge into practice at work and in daily routine.

I started to pay more attention to my conversation partners’ behavior strategies, their roles in the discussion/team/ group/organization. – On the “Lean production” seminar the teacher touched upon really vital for the company questions and organized the discussion where colleagues from different departments managed to develop understanding of both problems and tasks. So, the classroom wasn’t just for gaining theoretical knowledge, but also for working out practical solutions.

– After the seminar on the LEAN basics I am ready to go deep in studying LEAN technologies, as I understand that these tools will help me in risk assessment. The teacher is very knowledgeable about the subject matter. There’s a lot to learn from him.

– I really liked the training! It was all very interesting and easy to understand. Well-built practical tasks, user-friendly handouts. The greatest value of the training is in applying the knowledge into practice!
This is just the beginning. And there is a lot more ahead for preparing our reservists to the managerial positions!
