Join our English Club!

Dear friends!

It’s always our pleasure to help you gain new knowledge.
We would like to remind you that the corporate university of “Volga-Dnepr” organizes the meetings of the English Speaking Club which is a part of the company’s strategic project “100 Leaders” The club is held in Moscow in «Krylatsky Hills» and in Ulyanovsk office. We would like to announce that the Speaking Club has started in “Aeroplaza” office, too!

On Tuesday, November 24, there was held the first session «Getting acquainted».

— I’d like to thank our Corporate University for the organization of such events, — comments Elena Voronkova, computer graphic specialist, ABC. — It helps me improve my speaking skills and gives me more confidence. I have an opportunity to learn something new and to share my opinion and experience with all the participants. It’s great! It a pleasure to talk to my colleagues. I’m looking forward to our meetings!

—  English speaking club gives me a chance: 1) to improve my English speaking. I read and write a lot in English, but I don’t have much speaking practice; 2) to communicate with my colleagues while playing which helps to know each other in a new way; 3) to chill out and have fun! — said Anar Abdullaev, lead engineer for aircraft Systems, VDTM.

In the meanwhile on Friday, November 27, in «Krylatsky Hills» office the members of the English Speaking Club played «Crocodile».

— Last meeting of the English Speaking Club attracted lots of people because it was held in the format of a funny famous game «Crocodile», — said Polina Kushnir, assessment and talent development specialist, ABC. — Actually we played the game that is called «Hat». Everybody wrote a noun, an adjective and a verb phrase on three small strips of paper and put them all together into a box. We made three teams and the game started. At first, we had to explain the words giving definitions, then by gesturing and miming, then using just one word. It was funny and useful at the same time. It showed us that we don’t need to know all English words to express ourselves. We can explain almost everything using our vocabulary and gestures. What is important is not to be afraid to look silly.

— That was really lively! – shares her impressions Lubov Krasilnikova, accountant, Finance Department, ABC. – All the players regardless their level of English proficiency managed to get into the game.

— It was very funny and interesting! — adds Kseniya Svidan, implementation standard control specialist. — Our teacher, Roman, is great! And although we called our team «Loosers», we won!
