On February 1st another stage of Flight Contest for Pupils took place at Volga-Dnepr office at SkyPoint Business Center. It is a traditional event held by Flight Department and Accident Prevention and Flight Safety Management Department.

For six consecutive years our company supports the initiative of Moscow Comprehensive School promoting preliminary flight training. At our facilities we hold events involving children who have both extensive theoretical knowledge of the profession of a pilot and practical skills in flying various types of light aircraft.

Contest panel members consisting of aviation experts noted that they were glad to see smart, talented and trained children.

Bakhtier Astanov: “I believe that now such meetings are the best option regarding career guidance of the young”

Maxim Sinitsin, Flight Director, ABC said: “Such events help children get insight into the profession and take note of all pilot’s specific features We lay the foundations of a potential opportunity to employ specialists who have completed basic flight training at a very young age and deliberately build their career.”

Bakhtier Astanov, Crew Management Advisor, VDM added: “It is not the first time I participate in such an event. However, I am always pleased to see those youngsters’ eyes lit up with enthusiasm. I believe that now such meetings are the best option regarding career guidance of the young. Some of them know as much as graduates of a flight school. I would like to see them as our Company’s employees.”
