Best ingredients for best results!

VDA_3047Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow (VDTM) operational management reserve is on training again. The seminars are conducted within the Corporate University School “Profi”. The 10th event devoted to development of the management competence “Focus on the result” was held in Moscow on April 5. It was conducted by Galina Isaykina, director of Corporate Education department.

What was the training about? What impressed the participants most? Is there anything they will approach differently now?

This is what the trainees shared:

All the participants emphasized positive, efficient, and friendly atmosphere

Olga Belyaeva, leading financial analyst:
– I would like to emphasize the training practical part – apart from putting theory into practice it also allowed getting some experience in efficient team work, collaborative achievement of unusual goals. Being capable of not just listening to the customers but hearing them is of great value for me. This skill is worth developing and improving permanently. Besides, it was a great opportunity for professional networking, learning our colleagues’ strengths, which will contribute to successful communication. I would like to thank Corporate University for the seminar, for positive, efficient and friendly atmosphere!

Sergey Vorotnikov, head of operations arrangement department:
– I learnt how to make SMART flowcharts. I am sure to apply it t work.

The participants were impressed by the way the trainer Galina Isaykina vividly illustrated complex organization processes in the context of cooking scrambled eggs.

Maxim Kondrashov, leading specialist on user support:
– I am positively impressed! The key result of the training is that it allowed observing the colleagues from a different not work-related perspective – “in fight”. The team was able to create a common field, without finding faults. Every training participant has their own recipe to achieve results, though the training contributed some more ingredients to make it more efficient.

Jury Kostikov, head of maintenance and supply department:
– The participants got involved into collaborative work from the first minute of the training. So, they had a chance to realize the “gaps”, what to work and focus on. I was impressed by the exercise which was aimed at searching of inner and outer resources to successfully perform the task.

“The boss” was happy with the result!

Alexey Kuskov, driver:
– The training was perfectly organized. The game-based format allowed clear understanding of the information. I really enjoyed the SMART model for task setting. I’ m going to apply it at work and recommend to my colleagues.

Igor Gribkov, engineer-technologist:
– I’d like to emphasize the mastery of our trainer, exciting presentation of well-structured information, unexpected tasks, and attention to every participant. My take-home message:
1) tasks set by the senior executive are often misinterpreted and thought up by the employees;
2) a task can be formulated shortly and clearly; the details can go with the data file;
3) how to stay customer-focused when negotiating with the customer.
Since now on I’m going to plan my work results viewing them critically through customers’ eyes. I will try to spend less time on making decisions and performing tasks.
