What aircraft are the safest?

”The aircraft of Volga-Dnepr Group,” – the kids – the participants of Corporate University’s unique project “Entertaining Management” answered all together. Of course, we could not expect another answer from the kids who actively participated in the project and did a lot of important and useful things during the academic year: flight planning, air traffic control, airlines profitability calculation, their families’ and teams’ health care and even participation in negotiations with customers!

On May, 19th, at the training session, the kids learnt why safety began on the ground and why travelling by plane was the safest.

Our trainers from ABC – Maxim Sinitsin, Director Flight Department and Sergey Lipatov, Senior Chief Pilot told the kids what the SHELL model was, why liveware was in the middle of any event and why different barriers might appear during the interaction of such factors as documents, hardware, environment and liveware.

It turned out to be quite difficult to modify a complex phrase from a document into the one which would be clear and understandable to everyone.

But the most impressive to our participants was an experiment of delivering a message from one to another. They saw clearly that if a chain of speakers was too long, then the final message could be really surprising to its author.

Certainly, most of all, the kids wanted to visit AirBridgeCargo’s Boeing freighter in Sheremetyevo. Welcome on board!

A lot of people have been to a passenger aircraft but few are given an opportunity to see a cargo hold (main deck). The kids were amused by modern equipment ensuring safe cargo transportation. They learned that thanks to modern technologies, such a huge deck could be filled with cargo just in 90 minutes!

Our participants asked questions eagerly: how much cargo could fit in, how it could be fastened and how live animals were transported.

Each child was lucky to sit in the pilot seat and handle the control wheel of a real aircraft. Their dreams came true!

On the way back, the kids were full of bright impressions, however, a little frustrated because the project came to an end. They have worked in close cooperation with each other during the whole project and have become a real team!
